Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chess Royal mobile application, developed and published by CompileCraft (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, CompileCraft grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and royalty-free license to download, install, and use Chess Royal on your personal Android device solely for your entertainment and personal enjoyment.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

• All title, copyright, trademarks, design rights, and other intellectual property rights in Chess Royal — including its software code, artwork, audio effects, logo badges, and UI design — are the exclusive property of CompileCraft.
• Standard international chess rules and standard chess notation (PGN / FEN) remain in the public domain.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the app without prior written consent from CompileCraft.

3. Offline Usage and Availability

• Chess Royal is designed as a standalone offline application. It does not require continuous internet connectivity to operate.
• We strive to deliver an exceptional, bug-free experience. However, the app is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not warrant that gameplay will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every future Android hardware configuration.

4. User Conduct and Responsibilities

• You agree to use the application in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
• Since match history and ELO rankings are stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining any device backups. CompileCraft is not liable for data loss caused by device resets, OS updates, or manual cache clearance.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CompileCraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use the application.

6. Termination

You may terminate your agreement to these Terms at any time by uninstalling the application from all your devices. CompileCraft reserves the right to discontinue or modify the application at any time without notice.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms at our discretion. Any modifications will become effective immediately upon being published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
