Chess Royal is a mobile chess application developed and published by CompileCraft (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to protecting your privacy and explains how data is handled when you use the app.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection

• No Account Required: You do not need to register, sign in, or provide any personal details (such as your name, email address, phone number, or social media accounts) to use Chess Royal.
• No Personal Tracking: We do not collect, store, or monitor any personal identification information.

2. Local Device Storage Only

All gameplay preferences and match data are stored strictly on your local device (via Android app-private storage):

• Saved game history and PGN move records.
• Player names entered locally for Pass & Play games.
• Clock and timer presets.
• Theme studio selections (board and piece themes).
• Local ELO rating and performance statistics against the AI.

This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to CompileCraft or any third-party servers.

3. Third-Party Services & Analytics

• No Ad Networks: Chess Royal contains zero third-party advertising SDKs and does not display behavioral ads.
• No Analytics SDKs: We do not embed telemetry, tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral analytics tools.
• No Data Brokers: We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your gameplay data to third parties.

4. Network and Permissions

Chess Royal is engineered as a pure offline application:

• The core AI engine runs locally on your device’s processor.
• Audio and haptic feedback run locally using system sound and vibration APIs.
• The app requires no sensitive device permissions (such as camera, microphone, contacts, location, or background data).

5. Data Deletion and Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can clear individual games and history at any time within the app’s Game Vault.
• Clearing the app’s storage via Android Settings → Apps → Chess Royal → Clear Data will permanently erase all local settings and history.
• Uninstalling the application completely removes all associated data from your device.

6. Children’s Privacy

Chess Royal does not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app is safe for players of all ages.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if we introduce new optional features. Any updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
